The
River Card Clubis a luxurious members social club situated in Stanmore. It is easily accessible by London underground, Stanmore Station (Jubilee Line) and Edgware Station (Northern Line) and a number of London buses pass the door. There are parking facilities at the rear of the club.
Our members can enjoy a variety of
- Card Games - Bridge, Kalooki, Poker, Whist
- Board
games - Chess,
Backgammon, Scrabble, Sudoku
The club is fully air conditioned and has the following:
- Cafeteria - serves sandwiches, tea, coffee and
non-alcoholic drinks.
- Pool Table
- Sitting area with sofas
- Six computers - that are all connected to the internet. - Smoking Area - Outside smoking area with roof and seating
The club is run by a committee of club members who
see to the administration and general running on a voluntary
basis.
The club opened in January 2006 and since opening has held many Bridge, Kalooki and Poker afternoons and evenings to raise money for charity and to this aim has so far raised over £200,000 for various charitable committees supporting ovarian cancer, multiple sclerosis, alzheimer’s and North London Hospice among others.
